Catching Up

If you have not been able to see or Skype Jack lately, you will be amazed at how quickly he has grown. He keeps me pretty busy which is why the BLOG always stays so far behind! I am just in awe of his personality, the things he thinks of, what he learns, and just how cool he is. A few updates for you:
- On Being a Big Brother - Jack hugs and kisses my belly and says Brother. Poppy taught him to tell his brother "shhh" when he is crying. Other than that he is completely uninterested. Not at all curious as to why the office is now a nursery, why there is a new crib, etc. When I am working in there to get it ready he does come help me (ie. play with the new toys and take everything out of containers), but then he moves on. Will be interesting to see how he feels in a month.
- Mother's Day - To prepare for the baby we went to Build A Bear on Mother's Day to build a wolf for Jack and an owl for Grant. Jack thought the experience was okay, but loved the end where we use the computers. Computers are his fascination. And Ipads.
- Emergency Room - The night before Mother's Day was punctuated with our first trip to the emergency room when Jack fell at a friend's and bit into his lip. Mom and Dad were much more upset than Jack, who played it pretty cool while there. He is such a rock star.
- Jack is Brilliant - seriously. The latest things he has learned include how to go to the shoe basket, which has probably 12 pairs of shoes between all of us, and always pull out a matching set of his when time to go outside. He can open anything. And now keeps trying to get himself dressed, especially zippers. Counting is still at 14. And he has decided he is beyond the alphabet game now.
- Time with Dad - Jack and Dad went fishing last weekend at a friend's. It is the only time I have seen Jack sit still and quiet for 20 minutes straight while outside - amazing. I see a lot of this ahead
